Kazan Kremlin

State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve

The Kazan Kremlin is a unique Complex of Archeological, Historical and Architectural Monuments arisen and functioning from the basis of a city up to now.
In 2000 year the Kazan Kremlin has been included into the List of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Objects of a Complex are under the authority of the “The Kazan Kremlin” State Historic-Architectural and Art Museum-Reservation.
The Qol Sharif Mosque – the Greatest Mosque within the territory of Russia has been constructed in the Kazan Kremlin in 2005 year due to the date of celebrating the Kazan Millennium. The Annunciation Cathedral – a Monument of History and Architecture of XVI century – is opened after restoration. In the Kremlin there is an Architectural Symbol of the city; it is the Tower of Soyembika that is the one of few "falling" towers in the world.

November 4, in the Kazan Kremlin will be honored Our Lady of Kazan. On this day in Cathedral of the Annunciation will be a solemn church service (at 8:30), which would be the lord of Anastasios, Archbishop of Kazan and Tatarstan. After the service, believers will be a procession from the Cathedral of the Annunciation to the place of finding God of Kazan icon of the Mother - the Mother of God Monastery.

November 6-7 at the Kremlin exhibition hall "Manege" will open the fifth festival decorative rats "yaRATam!". These days the Kremlin will bring together the best animals in Russia. Titled rodents come to the capital of Tatarstan, from Moscow and cities in the Moscow region, Samara Yoshkar-Ola, Almetyevsk, Chistopol, Ufa, Ulyanovsk. Read more...
